Fundraising & Donations
2008 marks another milestone for BCR. It is the 9th season of developing and supporting rowing in the Boulder Area. BCR receives no dedicated funding from external sources and is entirely member and donor-supported. Equipment, coaching fees and all other expenses are dependant on member fees, volunteers, manpower, donations and sponsorships (more info on sponsorships coming soon).
In order to assist BCR in garnering funds for equipment and costs, you may participate in this process in several ways: through our on-going fundraising activities, through donations to either specific or general capital campaigns, or through sponsorships. BCR is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) corporation, so donations are often tax deductible.
Donate to Boathouse or Equipment Fund through "Network for Good"
You can donate to the BCR Boathouse or Equipment Funds through Network for Good, a non-profit website. There is a 4.75% tax-deductible fee for credit card/PayPal transactions, which you can add or deduct from your donation. This fee is used to pay banks, credit card companies and other administrative costs. Network for Good does not profit from fees.
Virtual Garage Sale
Transform clutter into BCR equipment! If you have items worth $20 or greater (no junk please), contact Jana Watson-Capps. She will collect small items that fit in her car, store them at her house, and post them for sale online. Anything larger is definitely welcome, but will stay at your home until sold. All proceeds go directly to BCR. Donations are tax deductible and a receipt can be given. Help us buy boats and oars and clean out your house at the same time!
Liquor Mart Gift Certificates
BCR sells gift certificates for Liquor Mart. The club earns 10% of each $20 certificate sold. Please contact Terri Brady.
iGive
Buy items from hundreds of retailers that you already shop from through iGive and BCR gets a small percentage in return. Be sure to choose Boulder Community Rowing as your charity.
Cafe Press
Buy BCR-branded items through Cafe Press and BCR gets a small percentage in return.
Volunteers for Money
Volunteer for money at other non-profit events and the proceeds go to BCR! Keep an eye out for emails on the BCR Yahoo group for any upcoming opportunities.
